Catherine brings a breadth of development experience to The Old Shipyard project. Having developed and successfully marketed projects in the Boston area, including some involving renovation and restoration of historic properties, she has devoted herself to making The Old Shipyard a model for green condominium development.
With experience as a practicing architect in the United States and Europe, Catherine couples her eye for elegant design with a keen interest in restoring and preserving the natural environment. She has augmented her training as an architect with additional study of landscape design at Harvard University. Her experience includes time working with the National Park Service as a historic preservation architect.
Chris is the architect responsible for the first LEED Gold Certified home in New England and was the project architect for Harmony House recently featured in Fine Homebuilding’s “Energy Smart Homes” special issue. Chris sits on the board of directors of the US Green Building Council Maine chapter and is one of its founding members. His work can also be experienced at O’Natural’s in Falmouth and the LEED Silver certified USM Childcare Center on the Gorham Campus.
Declan brings to this project 30 years of construction experience, both in Maine and abroad. He has been working with the site design and construction teams for two years to physically prepare the site for development. The historic nature of the working waterfront along this shore has been preserved in part by the mass-concrete pier structures that dot the site. Along with project management in construction and IT in Maine over the last 20 years, Declan was employed preserving ecclesiastical structures in Ireland for five years. He has been a member of the Intown Design Review Committee in Belfast, Maine, since its inception six years ago.
